Living the Gospel Out
Rev. Deacon Alicia Anderson
If you’ve been walking with us through the 14th Sunday after Pentecost with Rev. Deacon Alcicia Anderson, you know we’ve spent this week turning our attention toward divine things rather than human ones. We’ve sat with Jesus’ call to take up our cross, and we’ve listened to Paul in Romans lay out the real, everyday work of loving one another—setting aside our own priorities, tending to each other with patience, hope, and generosity. So now what? I think what’s next is to keep trying, to know that God is alongside us, empowering us and forgiving us when we fall short. Working through us and transforming this hurting and broken world.

14th Sunday After Pentecost
This week, Rev. Deacon Alicia Anderson walks with us through the readings for the 14th Sunday after Pentecost—Matthew 16:21–28 and Romans 12:9–21. Jesus speaks plainly about the cost of following Him, and Paul shows us what that kind of love looks like in real life: sincere, patient, merciful, and stubbornly good. As we move toward Sunday, let these words steady your steps and stretch your heart toward Christ’s way. Join us tomorrow as we continue this week’s walk toward Sunday
