Bishop Emeritus Gregory Pile

Chair of the Steering Committee

A graduate of Gettysburg College and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (ULS), Bishop Pile is a retired pastor who served in the Central Pennsylvania Synod of the LCA and later as Bishop and Pastor in the Allegheny Synod of the ELCA. Currently Bishop Pile serves as Chair of the Go Tell It In The Mountain Steering Committee and as a member of the initiative’s Grant Writing Team.

Outside of his professional work, Bishop Pile enjoys family activities—especially chasing grandchildren to games, concerts, and productions—along with gardening and yard work, restoring antique furniture, and building and maintaining a train layout.
